Is Minie crossed wth a Beagle?!

I found a picture the other day of a puppy that looked almost identical to Minne. When i asked the lady whos puppy it was, what breed it was she said a Beagle. Rather suprised (as i thought it was most likely a JRT cross like minnie) i did a search on google and sure enough alot of them look like Minnie. Could she be a Beagle crossed with a JRT rather than with a chihuahua!? She does seem quite long in the body compared to the size of her legs. Not that i mind whatever she is, she'll always be my little darling.

She def looks like she has JRT & Beagle in her. To me she has a JRT face!

I'd say no, ears aren't big enough.

Mahooli: Im not sure the ear thing is really the indicator. Your dog is a JRT and Doxie mix and he/she has Doxie ears. Different situation.

I think that Beagle is definately possible. How did you get Minnie? You arent sure of her parents?? JRT is also very likely, the pic on the left make her look just like a JRT in the face. I think that Chi is likely too cause of her eyes. They are a Chi trait. Maybe she is all three. ??

I know she is definately a JRT cross we saw the bitch. They did say the dog was a chihuahua which we didnt doubt as she is so small and her eyes and feet seemed chihuahua like. Im now wondering whether they were advertising them as chihuahua crosses to make money Im really angry at myself now!

A beagle has just as massive ears as a dachshund!

Looking at the photos, I wouldn't be surprised if she had Beagle in her.

Whatever she is, she is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!

But with her being mixed she maynot not carry that trait.

I've yet to see a hound cross with small ears, all 'puggles' have large ears. I think it highly unlikely she has beagle in her. Minnie's 'breeders' seem quite certain it's a chi dad.
