Unusual Pets...

Who here owns a pet they would class as 'unusual'? What made you choose this type of pet? And photos please!!

Not sure some would class them as Unusual or even pets
but we got four terrapins two years ago


they lived in side in a tank at first but this is there new home they have been in over a year now


O we now have five after a friend caught one when fishing

Lovely! I have a big fish tank and the thought of getting terrapins has crossed my mind (when I don't have the fish anymore which tbh is a long way off!).

Not madly unusual any more but I have a king snake, named Buttons, and some giant african land snails.
I got the snails for my sister, as she has always loved them as a child, she does still like them but has grown quite bored, gotta admit they are pretty boring! I got the snake free when trying to buy a bigger tank for the snails. In the end spent even more on a tank to keep the snake in!
Don't have any pics of the snails, but here is Buttons, taken quite a while ago so he has grown lots since

I have 60 rats - they certainly aren't unusual in my house
2 hens
3 hedgehogs
1 Bearded Dragon

and boring normal LOL dogs, hamster, degu and rabbit!
