I had my bottom 2 taken out 9 years ago, I was put under a general anasthetic in hospital, when i came round it hurt like hell but couldn't have any pain relief until the sedation had worn off which seemed like forever,I kept having to spit a mouthful of blood into a dish nearly every 20mins ,the end of the stitches were left too long in my mouth and it was just like having a hair in there that i couldn't get out and then theres the swelling i looked as if i been in the ring with Tyson :smt062

Sorry if I've upset you but you might aswell know it can be a bad experience

I had to have two wisdom teeth removed and it did not bother me. The dentist gave me freezing and took them out while I was in the chair. I came home and ate a sandwich LOL.

2 Dobes, my face looked like that too, it was black. Were your teeth impacted too?

My top wisdom tooth was Ok to take out. No problems just a normal tooth out.

You only really have problems if they are impacted and the gum has to be drilled to release the tooth. Not sore at the time but uncomfortable afterwards to the extent that you cant open your mouth to eat. I had to live on soup for a week.

One of my wisdom teeth was a mess with twisted roots, had to snap the top part off and then dig for roots.
