all our shops are selling them
and last night they were going off for ages
my dogs hate them and cry and bark
we didn,t have harley last bonfire night but i think we are gonna big problems with him cos last night he was howling and wetting himself
he looked so worried and was pacing the lounge
i ended up sitting up with him for ages till he fell asleep

may go vets and see if they can give me anything to calm him around this period

I loathe fireworks - I had one put down my jacket when I was younger. Luckily it went down upside down and as it went off it went back up out of my jacket only burning the collar and some of my hair. I was incredibly lucky.

The lad who did it wasn't though - my mum hunted him down and clouted him.

I think they have a place in organised displays only - even then they are dangerous and they should not be too loud or too late in the evening to avoid inconveniencing others. Some folk let them off at 1am in the morning and that is just selfish.

A new law is presently to be enforced thanks to a friend who has horses. She started a campagin 3 years ago after her horses were terrorised by people setting them off at a garden party. She collected and presented 147000 signatures to the houses of parliment to about a dozen M P's.
Each year about 100 arctic lorrys of illegal fireworks (made through child labour in china) are smuggled into this country to sell a car boots and the like
Last year there was 1 fatality for humans, but scores of cats, dogs and horses are KILLED and MAIMED just to celebrate a so called traitor

Grr it makes me soo mad, its such a waste of money!!!
They really do just cause more trouble than pleasure, and fireworks are an easy thing for kids to abuse!

November 5th they really start down here, i cant wait !

its true Gems, even though he is with us in the lounge, he still tries to bury himself under the carpet. Its heartbreaking, we have tried everything the vet has told us to do but nothing works.
