Might be Monday 16th October 2023

Morning all. I hope everyone gets sorted out with all the troubles that you are all having. I had a very lazy day yesterday and watched all sorts. Kelvins Farm, Miss Potter and then Enid and then Ghosts on itv player. So funny. Sadly they say no more series after this one. Us tenants here won't know ourselves after today as the front of the property is being painted. Probably means an increase in rent. I hope not. I do wonder what will happen to me when the money runs out. Camp under the flyover probably.:lol Love the apple tree Barry. Chris tell him to go and boil his head. Ungrateful boy. Kelly hope you feel better soon. I expect my dream was just because of what I had been reading about. Lynn yep let Brewster have a mad moment or two over the day. He needs the stimulation. Anyway have a good day everyone.

Brenda, when your money runs out, you will be entitled to money to top you up to a certain level.... your rent should also be taken care of or if not fully taken care of a bit of help given, if that's not possible then they have an obligation to house you So you won't end up homeless. Up here, we have bungalows for 55+, people regularly sell their homes and move into social housing and pay minimal rent.... Steve pays £440 a month for a 2 bed house with his own back garden, I used to pay £70 a week for a one bed flat with private garden but that is going back 20 years lol
Increased my steroids again as I feel shocking, only had 2 hours sleep

Good afternoon brenda, griff and all to follow.
Well i decided today Brewster really needed a little time on the lead walking on pavements, so off we went after the usual battle of harness and collar getting on.
We only walked a few houses up don't want to upset the carpals or radius and ulna bones, and stopped to chat to a neighbour he learnt to sit nicely.
I do wish though some men would not take it upon themselves to tell my dog to sit when he is standing nicely and telling him down or off even when he isn't jumping, you don't know what command I use.
Anyway it keeps him socialised.
On the way back he yelped and was holding his right paw up good job we were only a few doors away. By the time we got home he seemed fine I felt sick worrying what damage I had done.
Gave him some arnica which is what he gets after his mad runs on the park just to keep his joints pain free if there is any pain the way he behaves I doubt it.
Dogs though the adrenaline kicks in and they work through it unlike humans.
He is now lovely and calm and is being so good, you really wouldn't believe he is the same dog. Jekyll and Hyde.
Wobble cushion later and some cowboy magic on the knots behind his ears and some teasing.

brenda I hope they don't increase the rent just because they are tarting the building up.
griff sorry you are feeling so unwell, wishing you better soon.
Sue I hope your day is a calm one.
Chris well what can you say about Gary ? I hope he sees sense soon.
Kazz I hope you are having a good day.

Good afternoon all

Cold out there again this morning. Ted ran on the grass verge from home down to the village and got very soggy underneath anthen was shivering despite his coat so on my knee it was with a blanket to warm him up for a while

Gary is totally inexplicable. This morning he sent a message to say I wasn't welcome at his flat. This afternoon he sent a message to say he has found the box for his watch, gave me the model number and asked me to order the straps. I did say I couldn't order them from prison so he laughed and said sorry he only said that because he was mad

I'm hoping carers can be organised sooner rather than later because, quite honestly, although I know he can't help his mood swings, I'm too old to be putting up with them now

Have had to draw the blinds now as the new owners across the road have a skip and are in and out throwing things in with a bang while they renovate the property (which is likely to take a lot of doing) and Ted thinks it's a wonderful thing to bark at. Our road is usually quiet as the grave so he's finding this new turn of events strange

Kelly, I am sorry you are suffering so many health problems at the moment and hope you get back to as least as you were if not better sooner rather than later

Lynn, they terrify us don't they when they are so young. Hopefully, Brewster will go from strength to strength as he gets a little older

Sue, how is Teazle coping with the loss of more teeth? I hope she's doing well

while Sue is out I thught it a good idea to give our central heating a test run.
We did have a full service and chemical wash through a few months back, and had a filter added which wasn't there before. It is that terrible microbore system so we are limited to having a hot water tank and not a combi boiler setup as the pressure could easily blow the pipe joints. So did a rad check and only one had a slight air gap.It didn't get as hot as the rest. Easily fixed by loosening the release tap on the top of the rad at let the air out, job done.

My thoughts a better to do the test/check now before everyone else is calling for assistance with their central heating, as winter is on its way
