How do your dogs react ?

what do your dogs do when you say 'I love you' to them ?

My three all prick their ears and start wagging their tails like mad , then jump on me for a hug & cover me in slobbery kisses

Open one eye & doze on . Timmy the cat purrs loudly & Amber cat ignores me

Hmm .............

React??? Hmmm nope they do nothing, not even an eyebrow raise

I tell mine so often they are a bit immune.

Simon grunts and turns over. Keith purrs if we are cuddling. Jake kind of just looks as if to say "of course you do, why even bother saying it." and snuggles closer.

I spend way too much time having dog snuggles.

Hmm... well Dex looked at me when I said Dex, I said love you, he started chewing at his back to itch... I'd say that is an acceptable response, i take that as an I love you too lol

Cherry puts her muzzle up for a kissy!

I'm training Jake to kiss atm. Simon kisses, but with him its all tongues! Jake does a lovely nose touch (lovely if you like a freezing cold nose pushed against you)

I've never trained any response to "I love you", I may say it too often!

My cocker reacts to "my handsome boy". He wants to be picked up and snuggles into my shoulder/neck and wags his "nub" (aka docked tail).

Funny how when I first met him, he nuzzled into my shoulder/neck and didn't want to be put down. How little has
changed except that he's no longer that tiny 7 lb pup anymore. He's 4 times the size and 21 lbs now.

I never trained the response I get from my three , I guess they learned to associate my saying the words & the voice and tone I use with them getting lots of positive loving attention

Mine will respond as long as I say their name first lol, Jo does this cute thing where if I say it where the 'you' ends higher she will cock her head to one side... Very cute .

If I say it goofy like to Izze she will bark at me.
