Breagh (Lab x Pointer) looking a bit 'ripped'

Having lost Fingal and Skye, she's now my old dog rather than my pup.

That said I guess she's only middle aged and Young Mij keeps her active so that's nice but given her 'lab' eating habits, I'm trying to keep her fit.

I know she's only a medium sized dog but pound for pound she is so solid and strong so I'm glad she's gentle on the lead.

Love the grey beard though !

It is a rather benign gaze Phil and a bit sad when we think of our dogs aging all too soon...

Looks good, reminds me kinda of my Nigredo - but fit instead of fat!

She often has a 'vacant' expression. She's very loving but not the sharpest tool in the shed compared to Spaniels.

As for the age. She will be 8 in January. I still think of her as being a baby but after Fingal and Skye left us she's now my oldest dog.

Dogs used to have such long lives when we were young. I know it's me getting older but these days their lives pass so quickly.

I think she was watching one of the cats. Her grey beard is about the same as mine just now

Thanks - she is a very gentle dog. Not wise & noble like Skye was. Not full on like Fingal and Mij. She's kind of sensitive and caring. A mother hen if you like.

I've reduced her food. A bit of middle aged spread was setting in.
