Daily Thread, Thursday, 23rd February

Good morning everyone, think we are all in for a rough day with storm Doris.

Hope everyone is ok, still no word from LG, do hope he is ok.

No word for me from the hospital or doctor so I sit and wait and wonder what happens next.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry, safe and well and batten down the hatches everyone, God bless.

Morning Moyra and all who follow.
Very breezy here to and on and off rain.
Moyra do hope you hear soon it's not good not knowing.
June hope you are ok and your friend.
Mandy hope baby Joel is still improving.
griff hope today is a better day for you.
Hoping Gordon is very busy so that's the reason for his abxence he did say he had a lot coming up.

Gorden travelling back tonight hope the weather isn't to bad for his journey. I am over to Essex tomorrow to see my friend and have breakfast so early start for me.
Mark is over at Downham so worrying about him he has to drive along the riverside fast lorries coming towards you and high winds and rain. We have no barriers here to stop you going in the water can be a bit hair raising at times.

Better get Dillon out and hope we don't get blown away.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well.

Morning Moyra, Lynn and all to follow.
Moyra hope when you speak to the specialist it's not as bad as you're expecting.
Lynn I expect Dillon is starting to feel a bit more creaky (as am I) as age creeps on. I was taking the golden Paste but hadn't felt any effect plus I was waking up in the morning ruddy cheeked so wonder if it was upping my blood pressure. The damp weather never helps.
Was awake with the wind most of the night. Not mine, storm Doris!
Change of plan for me. Have to retrieve large item from post office in town that postman deemed to big for letter box. The old postie would've left it on top of the box as it's hidden and quite safe. Just wished I knew yesterday when I was actually in town grrr. That was a wasted journey as well. I need a new tyre for my sack barrow but it's looking like it might be easier to buy a whole new one.
Hope Doris blows out and everyone is safe.

Morning everyone,
Moyra I do hope you hear something today
Lynn hope it's a safe journey for Gordon & Mark, try not to worry too much, easy for me to say I know
TW hope you are ok, and get to speak to your friend

Joel is fine now, turns out he didn't like the stumpy bottles that he was drinking out, and how Jess was holding him. This was t picked up on till they went back in. Now he's drinking all his milk & is settling & sleeping well thank goodness
Lauryn is at college today, I'm hoping they let them home before it gets too bad out there.its quite windy now but everything still standing.
Stay safe out there

Morning all and those to follow. Hate to tell you this but the sun is out and lovely here. Cloudy a bit and a little windy but still lovely. Just wondering about Nippyjen. LG did say he wouldn't be around for a bit. I must admit this is why I don't go on these sort of chat things as you do start to get worried about people and never know how to find out if they are ok. Have a good day each.

Very heavy rain here, didn't have to hose the yard down as it was awash, so swept it all into the centre drain. Girls are having a duvet day as am I. Can see one head out when I check CCTV. I've left the top door partly open as its not that cold. Mabs clean all night and not used the giant puppy pad and its quiet this morning. May take Zen with Cariad when we go to the vets so I can weigh her and she can see there's nothing to worry about. Cariad is very calm and co operative with stuff like this and it will reassure Zen
Moyra I do hope you hear something soon, not exactly something that's going to sort itself out.
Twix you do need to let the postman know, I had to retrain my postman, then the usual one was reinstated after appealing against his dismissal so we got our helpful one back!
Storm should have passed over here by early afternoon, everyone stay indoors if possible I think.
I too am thinking of Nippy and LG, hoping everythings OK with both of them

Good morning everyone

Nie to see you Brenda hope you are all keeping well.

Safe journeys for Mark and Gordon Lynn and hope Dillon's leg is better today.

Hope you hear soon from the hospital Moyra.

Pleased you had a quiet night June and the girls seem to be behaving at the moment.

Managed to get Teazle out first thing without getting too wet so whilst I had my coat on popped into town to sort out bills etc. Very windy but the rain stopped and the sun is out. The sea was lovely to watch hard to believe that on Sunday it was a calm as a mill pond.

Have a good day and stay safe

Hi twix - I have purchased wheels from these people:-

http://www.axminster.co.uk/search/?q...k%20trolley&nR[visibility_search][=][0]=1&

You might find one that fits and is right diameter. You can order by phone from them as well and get their technical advice if you have any queries.

Good luck (I hate having to bin something just because a small part has broken)

'morning all

Blowing a gale here there will be trees down I'm sure maybe even the one in our garden which is already leaning at a 45 degree angle

Will be out with Casey & Lara this afternoon but not sure where, Knettishall Heath has loads of trees and I don't want to end up under a fallen one

Bye for now.
