I'm with you

There is atheory called eugenics . contrary to popular belief this wasn't founded by the Nazis for racial purposes
it was founded by the upper class paternalistic early leading lights of socialism such as H G wells . they posited the great masses weren't aware or educated enough to make informed and rational decisions for their own community so felt curbs on births were for their own welfare

sometimes , just sometimes, when I read stories like this , Ithink they may have been right

Yeah but whose fault is it they were like that in the first place.
I know there are exceptions, but the majority of puppies aren't born vicious, they turn like that because of the way they have been treated. You wouldn't get in a high powered sports car without learning to drive first and then gradually buying up to that type of car (well I know there are those with the money to buy their kids stuff like that, but I mean generally) so why buy a dog when you haven't bothered to find out the first thing about care etc.
I know from some of the enquiries I have had that there are parents out there who don't see any reason why their 17 year old shouldn't have a dog, and resent my pointing out the reasons why, i.e. they will be leaving home to go to Uni/gap year etc will want a social life, will want to marry/live with someone. If the parents had wanted a dog, fair enough, but the parents would have been the ones ending up with the dog!!!

Well in this case the dogs may not have been inherently vicious they were it seems disturbed by the owners epileptic fits which I am assured is fairly common. My cousin had to rehome her fox terrier due to his attacks when she was going into a fitting state.

Who knows what they think because he was a loving companion as long as she was fit free.
