Todays Daily Thread Thursday 13rh July 2023

Morning all. I hope you weren't meaning me Barry with my words that I find fascinating when I play scrabble? Seems like everyone was baring all yesterday with their past problems. I won't tell you mine. It is harrowing like everyone else has had in their lives. Let's hope it gets better for everyone. Chris pleased to hear that your eye operation went well and that Teddy got lots of socialising. Tyto had that when I went to Inverness lots of kids that awanted to say hello to the red dog. Have a good day everyone. Onwards and upawards as the saying goes. And at least today is a Thursday and not a Friday 13th. By the way Barry love the pic of Teazle.

Good morning Brenda and anyone else who pops in

I think everyone has the good, the bad and the ugly as they go through life. It's all part and parcel of this thing called living

Eye was gunked up this morning and everything in that eye is still blurry. It took four weeks last time to get the benefits so I'm not worried (I was last time, I thought the op had failed)

I was looking forward to a bit of a lay in this morning, but, alas 5 am came around and I couldn't get back to sleep.

Looks lovely out there this morning so will be off out in about an hour to enjoy it

Morning brenda, Chris and all to follow.
I am sure it wasn't meant for you brenda.
Have you had your walk today ? Not sure what the weather is like where you are it's overcast and wouldn't be surprised if we get rain.
Hope it stays dry for your walk.

Well the little terror woke at 2 am so we got up for a while then we went back to bed till 4.30 and got up.
He eventually settled and we got some sleep (me on the sofa). 6.29 a nudge he gets fed at 6.30 am.
He is now sleeping in the garden on and off and watching the birds. I shall be taking nanny naps during the day.

griff glad your Uncle is doing well.
Chris was so pleased the op went well.
Sue hoping your day is not as busy.
Kazz enjoy your day.

Morning all

Pottering off to a garden centre later may spend my birthday vouchers looking for a nice good quality light border spade and and maybe fork, but could easily be distracted. Not much else planned bar a monthly top up big shop which has actually become a tri monthly one, must be my planning and thinking things out rather than use willy nilly but things seem to be lasting longer.

Also got to make an appointment at the opticians and going to try and tie it in with my car MOT in August as they are in the same row of shops and having the picture/scan taken of back of my eyes (Mom had dry macular) so won't be able to drive for a few hours or so. So my plan is drop car off then opticians appointment then potter to the coffee shop and stay there. That's the plan folks love it when a plan comes together and it will confidence.

Brenda I do not think Barry meant you at all, I enjoy your words. Hope you enjoy your day and your walk has been enjoyable this morning when do you meet up with Margaret again? Is it not to late for a seagull baby not sure of the seagull reproductive system.

Chris Sounds like your eyes are going to plan, nice to be out early enjoy. What is your breakfast of choice I like Eggs benedict when I go out but yours?

Lynn Sounds like a lovely way to be woken up Puppy noses and a time watching one at that clever lad. When are you off with the caravan again and any idea where too?

Griff Pleased your uncle is doing well long may it last. Hope you are having a good day any news on the op yet?

Sue Cannot keep up with your daily schedule but hope it all goes well whatever it is have you got your "daily orders" for the forthcoming school holidays? Glad the grass is doing well as well mine is sound like the same its all this rain me thinks.

Just also on and off over this weekend putting together then writing a short letter thanking David for yesterday. Catch you all later people.

Morning Kazz. Enjoy your garden centre visit.

No plans as of yet for going away in the van, temperature will play a big factor.
We also have to get the number plate done for the Antara. 3rd number plate now.
Plus Gorden has to try out with towing before we go anywhere on a long journey.

Good morning everyone

No he didn't mean you Brenda just has a bee in his bonnet about another site. Hope you get a dry walk and mine turned a bit damp so cut it short

So leased you have had the eye op Chris. Just bee good and do as you are told You. will have to train all your appointment people to give you one so that they can fuss Teddy.

Funny how dogs soon learn their feed time. In this house I am not allowed to forget without being told off

Hopefully the school holidays will be quiet and Ben can work from home for most of it. Done the morning run and back again this afternoon. Have just had a message from Ben that the electrian is going to be at his at 6.00am tomorrow that should be fun just hope he can sort the problem and not too expensive.

Take care everyone

Bacon, egg, sausage, beans and toast Kazz with a nice cuppa to go with it. £4.50 in total or we can go to the other cafe when we're hungry, 2 bacon, one egg, 2 sausage, beans and toast again with the coffee at £5

Ted ate a full dog food meal this morning and what was it the little bu**ar likes? Cheap, cheerful and not too good Webbox - go figure

Afternoon all. Pleased to hear that Ted ate his food today. Well I bit the bullet today and went back to this new surgery that I have registered with and gave all the details yet again of my dire itchyness. What, when and where and they eventually said they would pass it all onto a doctor and he would phone. I am still waiting. Good job I haven't held my breath. Have a good afternoon all.
