House collars?

Reading up on the use of house collars that open easily especially when dogs are at play, so if they get caught the collar will come off on its own etc, just wondered if anyone had any recommendations, as we have now started leaving our two free when we go out rather than crating them, but want to keep a tag on them so thought of a house collar.

No, I would never leave any collar on them in the house, there is no need for it or a tag as, unless they have the house keys, they will not be leaving it when I am not there!

Mine dont wear collars in the house home alone either. I live alone and dont have any worries about them getting away.

As long as the dog is chipped I don`t see the need to take the risk.

None of mine wear collars in the house.
I came home from work a few years ago and found Anoush had got her leg through her collar, looked like she had broken it, dont know how long she had been like that, so now I would never leave any collar on in the house. None of my dogs will escape anyway, but they are all chipped and very well known in the area.
Just too dangerous for my dogs.

If your dog gets out and it's not wearing a collar it will still be treated as a stray.
