microsoft excel

my OH is settin up his own business and i said i would do his books. i have set up a spreadsheet using excel and want to show profit in black and loss in red. I know i need to use an IF statement but im not sure how. any ideas??

I would use conditional formatting.

on the Format option select conditional formatting

use the values between 1 and 99999999 to be in black - should be self explanatory but if not shout!

and use less than 0 to be in red!
