Day 3...

Isn't it amazing how you can be lulled into a false sense of security and in thinking...wow what a cute puppy I have

Today I thought it would be good for Tara to see the big wide world, from my arms of course, which was all going really well until something scared her...

Rule no 3...actually most important rule...Hold puppy away from your body when somthing scary approaches to avoid being poo'ed on!

It took me a few seconds to register that, no I hadn't trod in anything, the smell was eminating from me..and I had no tissues...

Rule no 4 ..always carry tissue!

Back at home we introduced th crate, which actually is going rather well..she slept in it all night, with the door open of course.

Nightime..the pup had found her voice..and OH BOY can she yell...and howl and bark..after 10 mins of ignoring things went nice and quiet, until CRASH...now do you

A. Lay in bed wondering whether the puppy is lying underneath something squashed? or
B. Get up knowing she has done something as the howling and barking wasn't working?

Oh dear, there are some advantages to having a smaller dog then....but i love big dogs!

I took Tonks out from 8 weeks old, but had her in my coat, for most of the walks she hid and went to sleep but i guessed it was all good for her and that was just her way of controlling the stimuli. She then started to peep her head out but would hid it again everytime a car or motorbike went past.....and then look out again once it had gone!

Wonder if there is any way you could find something for Tarato hide in. ........ or just give her to yoru OH to hold in his coat and stick to quieter places until the urge to poo when she is scared has worn off!!

At 9 weeks old she is already a BIG girl, and I am really concerned that if I don't get her out and about now she is going to be a nervy creature later on, She had her jabs on Monday, so next Monday, I am going to pavement walk her in the village, I have to get her used to it all now at this critical age.
