Yes, got agree too. It seems there are different opinions on what actually is ethical anyway. There are many show breeders that I consider unethical simply because of the exaggerations and associated health problems that occur in some breeds.

It's easy enough to avoid commercial puppy farmers but I think a newcomer to pedigree dogs would find it very difficult wading through a minefield of various health tests and differing opinions on what is and isn't acceptable risk when breeding.... after all, every litter bred carries a risk of producing health defects.
