Hyaluronic Acid for Senior Dogs
I took Peluche to a holistic vet today. I was there for over 2 hours!! It was such odd evening and she was so odd (but in a good way) that it left my head reeling after I left.
Anyways, she gave me hyaluronic acid to give Peluche as a anti-inflammatory since he's got a pinched nerve and he gets a bit stiff every now and again.
Have any of you heard of or use it?
Also, she recommended something for his heartworm that is safe to use for a senior!! I am so happy! I can't remember the name (it was a weird name) but she sent out a prescription to get it made and they will contact me when it's ready. She said I can also use it as a preventative for the others and it's not a toxin like ivermectin.
My little man has a chance to stay/get relatively healthy (considering his age) and is not a risk to the others. My regular vet made me super nervous about the whole contagious thing.
