proud breeder brag!

Today at Horley & DCS

Thandiwe Stormcatcher at Tymora, not only won best (avnsc) gundog puppy, but took gundog puppy group 1, and went on to take RBPIS!

Harry got a 2nd in JH (out of 17) in JH, in some very esteemed company, so he was well chuffed.

and I handled our Vinnie to a very creditable 3rd in AV puppy (dog) - I was pleased as there he was up against some flashier breeds from other groups, so it was always a bit of a gamble as Field Spaniels just arent flashy enough for most judges.

Thats three Puppy Groups the boys have won between them already this year - not a bad start to their careers, and certainly good for Thandiwe!!

Thank you all very much I am not generally given to boasting, but I couldnt help myself. 'Toddy' will always be very special to me, as I have heard it said that some people can see what a pup will be in that few seconds after they are born, while they are still wet. As his pedigree name suggests, he was born outside in the midst of a heavy storm, and I literally caught him before he hit the deck. As he slithered into my hand, there was a flash of lightening, and I gasped out loud, as in that fraction of a second, I saw what the potential! In my notebook, next to his birthweight, I had written 'OH WOW - something special'.

If I hadnt already kept his 'uncle' Vinnie, from a previous litter (who I wouldnt change for anything), I would have kept Toddy for myself.
