Thanks for that - Emily am sure we always have that enthusiasm and if I can find her a dog am sure she too would do more too!

Did I see Harry there too? We went straight from the handling to our breed class so didn't get to watch the older age group?

I wish we had that sort of thing here, sadly not though.

Rachel, you must be very proud of them all - and dogs too!
Thanks Mel I truly am over the moon with them all!

This was held in Addlestone, Surrey and a great venue it was too - do you have a ringcraft near you as sometimes they have junior handling classes too?

We were at Portsmouth and Southsea too, I actually watched Jessica's class! I have to say I thought she handled Connor wonderfully, especially him being a young dog, and setters certainly don't come across as the easiest dog to handle.
Oh really what a shame we could have said hello had we known!

Thanks - Connor being a baby doesn't make it easy and no gordon setters aren't the easiest - like to wriggle a bit

Can't believe you watched her class ! I had to watch from a distance!

Congratulations to you and your family Rachel, I hope the rosette pile continues to grow, sounds like it will!!!!!
Many thanks Ailsa - it is so nice to watch them doing something that is rewarding for them and the dog! And when they get a bit of success too then all the better!

Rachel, Absolutely Brilliant news!

Well done to the girls, and to Conor

I'd watch out if I were you Rach, you could be made redundant sooner than you think!

LOL! Thanks Dee - am sure she will try and take over the breed showing of Connor but don't want her to get into those bad habits we have

Well done to both your girls (and to Connor), though having seen photos and videos of them in action, it doesn't come as any surprise that they are doing so well.

(does this mean you are considering getting another dog specially for Emily????)

That's very kind of you Hali - thank you!

And no plans for another dog and if I did think Jess would try and bag that one too knowing her!!! I may try and see if she can handle someone else's but half the handling is having a bond with the dog so handling someone else's doesn't allow that side of it.

The girls desparately would love another pup but I am remaining strong at the moment

Hi yes H was there ( I wasnt, as I was working a health testing day), and didnt do anything in the handling, but did win BP with his Field Spaniel pup Vinnie.
I am sure we can find someone with a good handlers dog for Emily. Is it too far for you to come over for JH with us (same place you came for the Eastbourne Limit Show). One of my older Field Spaniel bitches would be good for her to practise with (jemima used to borrow her at JH classes), or even one of the Border Terriers.

Oh that was so lovely to see - they did so well!

Love that second clip in particular when she realizes the judge is on the 'wrong' side so she stops and changes hands (which is more than I did at my second show lol )

No wonder you are so proud, rightly so! Well done to them:smt038 :smt038
