I believe the poos go white with the presence of a lot of ash in the food-- lots of commercial dog foods have a pretty high ash content. But yes, I have seen the fuzzy poos too.

I can sort of understand people leaving it, as there really aren't many bins along our regular walk... but hey, I don't mind carrying it half a mile, why should anyone else? (Ok, I have no pride :P).
