Hector back at the vet

well i had to take him back for another b12 jab.

we thought every fortnight would be enough, but no,he went downhill on monday and showed all the old symptoms again

so now weekly jabs are a must.

vet now thinks this could be a lengthy process to get his levels up and has asked me not to change his diet until things have settled down better.

Poor H, i do feel for him

Sorry to hear that about H, can't you give him B12 tablets in his food every day? I bought some for my EPI dog rather than keep going to the vets for jabs? I am still waiting for my blooming vet to get the jabs anyway!!! Hope Hector's better soon, poor boy.

the problem with tablets is his digestion system is so bad he wont be able to digest them and the'll go straight through him, thats why he's having the jabs

Hopefully Hector's levels will increase soon and then the jabs could be fortnightly and then monthly. Think with this type of deficiency it may always have to be jabs though.

I feel for you both. I'll bet he is really good about having the jabs too. Hopefully he will get through it all soon enough. Big big Leo licks to you both from Ivan xx
