Help with dog information please

Hi I am wanting to get a bichpoo or a spitzoodle or a maltipoo, I already have a border collie male who has not been neutered and a cat. I will get the new puppy neutered when I get him/her. Anyone who has one will they get on with my other animals? mostly my dog? What are the dogs like? their temperament? Someone told me small dogs are yappers are these?

Thank you,

Emma.

You can never tell, but breed traits are a good guide.

The problem with cross breeds is that you can get any combination of traits so it really is a case of pot luck

I wonder why these three x's are chosen when you don't know muchabout them? I'd seek out a good local rescue centre and speak to the staff there. They may have a lovely dog of one of these x's that you could give a good home to and they will always be honest with appraisals.

Hi Emma, first of all it would be good to know why you are interested in one of these particular dogs.
That might narrow down your options/ suitability.

I'd think a Spitzoodle would be a spitz crossed with poodle. Her her favorites are "oodles" so crossed in with poodle. Poodles are not yappy from what I've gathered, but it all depends on the dogs individual traits and how he is raised. A Yorkie comes around here and he does not make a sound and is mega friendly.

Eileen, from what I can see, the "spitz" is a small group of breeds, so it could be any type of spitz combined with poodle.

Why not get a poodle - this offers the best from all the above crosses ! Fabulous dogs - come in various colourways and sizes - my preference is for the standard. If you want something unusual you can even get a parti-colour poodle - now they are something to write home about. Charming, biddable and they dont moult - unlike their crosses ! Make sure to buy from health tested parents.
