My Op. (women only)

I expect some of you remember when I was talking about my Mirena Coil and I thought it was lost, well just to say I had my day bed ward gynae op yesterday. I had a biopsy and the Mirena Coil changed and yes it was in the right place.

I've got to go back in four weeks time for the biopsy results so fingers crossed it's nothing bad. The staff were wonderful once again but the admin in the hospital was crap. I've been phoning people in the last month and told them that details of my last operation weren't present, not when I went for the pre-op or my anaesthetic review so I knew there would be problems which is why I phoned the pre-op dept again on last Monday and told them. So what happens on the day of my op....... I get there and they haven't got my details of my last operation which they need So instead of going first on the list I went last as they had to locate my details first.

But the staff were lovely, very friendly and the nurse looking after the six of us couldn't do enough for us all.

I'm glad it's all over with now and I'm back home.

Good news that it hadn't migrated anywhere, I'm sure that was a huge relief to you?

Take it easy today

Phew!

My doc asked me if i wanted one when i went to get a repeated prescription for my pill. I politely declined both a coil and the arm implant (im a self confessed picker and reckon i could freak out and try and remove them!)

Good luck for the test results

To be honest I didn't want another coil. I said to the consultant "do I really need another one" He replied "you would have been alot worse without one". So what can I say. They think those mirena coils are the bees knees, I'm not so sure.

Thank you for your good wishes.
