On topic - also for fun

Okay what things DO you do because you have your dog?
Apart from walking him or her of course?

I buy bubbles then sit in the garden and blowing them to keep mine occuppied, although I have no children
I sit for hours just talking to them.
I always do three pieces of toast one for me one each for them
I sit in the middle of the sofa so they can have a "side of me" each

I do this as well and also when I'm having scrambled eggs or porridge I cook extra for them

Before I leave the house I try and dog-proof it so they will be alright
I talk to them as well even out on walks as if they were people
I can't think of anything else at the moment....

I also chat away to Archie all the time... he looks at me as if to say "you're mental"

Whenever I make hamburgers on the bar b q I always make a tiny one for Archie and mix it with his dinner

Carry stinky liver treats in all my pockets and poo bags

Stop working because he's using my book/pad of paper as a pillow

Tell my friends 'sorry, I can't go out tonight cos there's no one around to look after Archie and he's not used to being alone for a long time yet"...they all think I'm mental

Carry a huge handbag on walks with towel if it's wet, big lead and little lead, bottle of water, treats and toys and a little blanket if we go to the pub after so he can curl up on it

The list is endless I'd be so bored without him

1: I go to a dog training school while Jake teaches me what he wants me to do

2: I go to agility and run round a muddy feild shouting words of encouragement as he tears round the course at 1000MPH whilst i'm puffing red faced behind him.

3: I go to pet shops internet websites to find the newest must have dog accessory and spend too much money.

4: I am addicted to an internet website called dogweb which without Jake I would have never discovered

5: I say sorry to other owners and other dogs as he runs off with their balls and refuses to give it back until they have chased him for about 5 miles and he finally decides it's game over.

6: I have had to invest in new underwear as my neighbours have seen all my old underwear spread out in various parts of my garden.

7:I sweep the floor more than ever before because of the hairs.

8: I laugh more than I have ever laughed in my whole life since aquiring Jake!!

I also talk to him like he is human.
I have huge pockets and bags to store poo bags, etc
I spend a lot of time on dog web !!
i make extra breakfast so he can have some
I make extra macaroni cheese so he can have some
i make sure there is a blanket on the sofa so he is never cold !
i take him to hydrotherapy every weekend ( this results in getting fish and chips in Anstruther every weekend VERY BAD !!! for my tummy)
i also blow bubbles
i spend a long time throwing various balls in the garden
I am building an extension on the house so that he can have a back door to get out with when he wants !!! LOL - dont tell hubby that that is the real reason we are building it !!)

Since I got my first SBT I have become a collector of many things.
Carrier bags, bruises( they jump all over me), wonderful memories, friends that also love SBTs, newspapers(for whelping) half eaten door frames!(cheers Jedd!) books on SBTs, pictures of SBTs and most of all.......................SBTs!!!
Here's my fave collection, well a bit of it
