Huge thanks to all of you, it's most appreciated as the reality of not having him around starts to sink in.
The mix up over his age was a
misunderstanding he was
not eleven, the vets had him as seven since that was the last invoice in September. In fact his PetLog record shows he was born
20 Sept.2012 so actualy 8 years and 2 months.
Still younger than even Baruska who was 8 years and 7 months when she died.
Xena seems to be very quiet, she went on her walk today and seemed to enjoy it, but then that is
always the highlight of her day. Dogs tend to live for the 'now' so future and past are not so critical, but she will miss him, they used to get along so well, never had a fight even when Bruno used to play rough with her.
So now we have to
get used to not having him around. After more than six weeks with hardly eating anything it's perhaps not surprising his heart gave out. Just wish I could have been there when it happened.
