Daily Thread Monday 2nd November

Good morning everyone

Another wet and windy day. Car taken in for repair said it will be about a week. They will not have to shut during lockdown which is good and was really worried that we might be without it for a mouth or so.

Hope all are well

Have a good day and stay safe.

Good morning all..

Have a week off this week, planning on papering the wall in the living room and skirting boards too, before I put the tree up.
Cannot see much changing here either still going to work and still unable to go "out out" so pottering. Will continue to get Christmas presents but must admit most have been ordered online.

No one seems to be stockpiling or bulk buying by me at least so maybe we have calmed down. Then in the next sentence I say .....I am doing a monthly shop this week LOL Also having a look for some Christmas wrapping paper gift bags as well.

I hope everyone has a great week

My eldest niece is a little subdued as her birthday is 5th November. She is coming for her card and present but I shall have to place it on the garden wall No hugs this year........"sad face"

Also a brilliant note my friends operation went very well she has a piece of something where she used to have a piece of skull but no loss of anything senses coordination so far which is brilliant news hope to be out today or tomorrow just nausea which she did say she was told to expect but easing. If this works they are going to be looking at plans to tackling the lung cancer that has now reappeared. So all systems go. We have plans for lights at Blackpool next year even if we just drive down then through and home.

Morning Moyra, Sue, Kazz and all to follow.

Very very windy here through the night and today, then heavy rain now just really windy again.
Had a lovely weekend Elaine and her OH came for lunch Saturday and yesterday Mark, Lauren, Joel and Tia.
Today Dillon is 9. To think we didn't think he would get here 5 weeks ago. Taking him to a garden centre later to see if we can get a couple of bits of turf for him to put on the gravel then visit the pet store on the way back.

Hope your niece has a nice Birthday Kazz. Good luck with the decorating.
Moyra you must be bored out of your mind by now.
Sue glad the car will be fixed quickly.
Harvey I bought some low fat senior wet food for Dillon but our vet said it can go through them quicker as it has less fat and she says dogs need fats, she wasn't overly worried about me feeding it but said she doesn't feel older or ill dogs necessarily need the faddy foods.
Better they eat than not o be sensible but give them tempting things to get their appetite back. Hope Bruno is still improving.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today.

Yes, he is improving, he just demolished a two egg omelete but wouldn't take the chicken

The really good news is that yesterday he actually jumped in the car without any persuasion. First time for more than three weeks.

I'll try to pop back this evening, bye for now

Good afternoon all.

Harvey, just a thought, but if he ate the soft eggs but not the more textured chicken, could it be his teeth??

His teeth look OK and none of the three vets who have examined him have mentioned teeth so I assume they are OK

If the 'Red Tin' Chappie costs less than the stuff he's on now we will definately give it a go, the tinned food the vet prescribed was very expensive
