Been offered a kitten!

I have been offered a Norwegian Forest male, red and white, ready in a few weeks, for nothing. I'm very tempted as it is one of my favourite breeds and my favourite colour but I need to see how much neutering, food, worming and vaccinations will cost as I am officially broke these days. The trouble is, I've thought of a name...... in Ireland, all Counties and some towns have their own flag, and as red and white are the colours for Cork - he would have to be Corky! Still, must be sensible.
I'll give it some serious thought over the next couple of weeks.

Shame you have to be sensible, Gill. My (and your) instinct would be to grab it with both hands

I hope you dont take this the wrong way Gill, but wonderful though the offer is, I would be inclined to suggest you wait until life is on more of an even keel for you.

There will always be other kittens, and I think the 'free' bit is clouding the issue - as you rightly say there are ongoing financial considerations.
