i woudn,t say difficult to keep
but they are very noisy and i would not recommend them to 1st time bird owners
they are very demanding unlike other types of birds
cockatoos seem to be the most birds that come up for rehoming as people do not realise how loud they scream

but on the plus side they have great personalities and are so much fun to be around

They are lovely, I couldn't have birds because of the scamps but I do love them
