I know that dogs love love love tripe-- but I live in a flat with three dogs and one man who won't eat vegetables. The smell would drive me out of my senses in days. Eeyeesh!

she hasnt at all since starting raw ,but i guess some foods will have that effect, and i thought she would have the runs but no just 1 poop per day great stuff,as long as the tripe is good for her and she enjoys iy i can live with the smell, maybe once she gets used to it the farting will stop:lol, karen:

All dogs have wind at one point or another in their lives, just like we do whether or not if they're eating raw, they will still fart, maybe just not as much, it's all down to diets and certain foods etc which make it worse etc.

Ooooh, Bully's are like Staffy's then....stink if you introduce something new!

When we got Dougal first it was a January and he stank!! We had to open the living room windows to stop our eyeballs melting...

Now it's a competition between OH and Dougal as to who stinks the most when they get wind...so the windows are open a lot...yeach!!! Soooo embarrassing if we get visitors

I feed green tripe often to all my dogs and it does not give them wind.
Granted it smells a bit when I am mixing their feed but I guess I must be used to it now as it does not really bother me at all.
Can't stand it if I had to cook it though, I did that once when I first started feeding it and boy does that smell, thankfully its best fed raw or I migh have had to rethink feeding it.

One of my SBTs is 10 and has never had the best digestive system and at the moment it is all he can eat with out being sick plus a meal or two of scrambled eggs.

No wind, maybe your dog just loved it so much he eat it too fast.
