Monty, Fell Terrier, DOB 06 – Godstone, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Monty needs a terrier experienced home psyched up to ensuring Monty is ever safe and secure and carefully introduced to people and other dogs. Monty must always be managed on an extender lead as he was worked and has heightened prey drive. He can react to cars and bicycles having lived in a remote rural area so short leaded around roads. An only pet home or special other dog. No live-in children and supervised with older children once carefully introduced, as with visitors. Monty has a sensitive stomach and needs specific dried food. He can swallow chewed plastic toys so mustn't have access.

His Story: Monty grew up on an open farm mixing with all creatures great and small. He was worked for ratting and became untrustworthy with poultry. Moved farm, happily lived with a Jack Russell Terrier bitch. Despite every preparation possible Monty is focused on the family's 3 week old baby and sadly Monty has needed to come into Rescue. Neutered, vax'd and chipped.

Advert: Monty is a Fell Terrier with keen instincts and a working mind. He needs respect and appreciation of his terrier traits. Monty is a loving kind and accomplished terrier. He lived happily within his family until a baby came along. He was cherished and lived an inclusive lifestyle sleeping in the bedroom and had free range inside when left. He loves his Frisbee Kong toy and after a couple of throws he begins to remember surrendering it is an essential part of his game! With gentle intros Monty could settle and live with another dog. Currently in kennels near Gatwick.

Monty is a 6 year old Red Fell terrier with an interesting grizzle effect to his broken coat. He loves affection and enjoys grooming and a bath. Monty is not a novice terrier dog. With chase drive which kicks in with cars and bicycles he needs an astute owner where his safety comes first at all costs. A delightful family dog who has many, many years of fun ahead. A terrier enthusiast's triumph!
