Mr Darcy, Staffie, 1-2 years old

Mr Darcy, Staffie, 1-2 years old

His Story: Found stray and unclaimed.

Salient Points: Good all round dog/Staffie.

Advert: Mr Darcy is a brilliant Staffie, a gentleman ... gentle and kind. He loves life, his walks and meeting other dogs. We haven't been able to assess him in a domestic setting, but he is shining out in kennels as a 'must have dog'.

Mr Darcy is very handsome and in good health. He has just been neutered and is fully vax'd. What can we say ... the only issue we have had is he is a little concerned when a stranger approaches him in his kennel space, but a little growl and then you're friends. Mr Darcy is going to make a perfect friend for a worthy family.

“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Mr. D'arcy can be a bit stressed in his kennels, but once out he is a totally different dog, loving and playful.

Scary moment: Mr. D'arcy just about to Staffie kiss our kennel walker!

An update from Wendy:

Mr Darcy was my last walker, what a great boy. A bit over excited at first but settled nicely, listening for commands in interacting very well, even giving me paw for treats, bless him.

A beautiful little staffy boy, here he is ...

An update from one of our volunteers:

"He is indeed a joy to walk. Always making sure we are still with him, Mr D'arcy comes back when called and seat quicker than it takes to say it. Another dog that only wants to please..."

An update from Antoine:

"Walks with Mr. D'Arcy are always very pleasant. He is very good on the lead, seats before I've finished saying it and generally just wants to please his handler. Mr. D'Arcy still jumps a bit to try and kiss you on the face, but a firm NO usually works well. It wouldn't take him long to completely stop doing it, he is a clever dog".

Antoine (a volunteer) had a great time with Mr. D'Arcy on Sunday. The boy is really learning his name quickly and has some great recall skills.

Mr. D'arcy now has his own online photo gallery: http://www.juststaffies.org.uk/mrdarcy
