would a rescue rehome to me?

I have been giving a bit of thought to having a rescue dog,

kinda want a little dog, like a JRT sort of size

but, I know many rescue centres have set policys,

given that I am a breeder, have four dogs here that are not speyed or neutered,

clearly a speyed or neutered rescue wouldnt bother me,

would many rescues even entertain me?

No, you got big doggies, not neutered and you BREED!!

I kinda thought that,.... such a terrible home for a rescue dog,

I think the bigger rescues would probably say no, but what about the smaller ones that go on a case by case basis.

Given my past history I dont think I would have any problem from the breed rescues {the bull breeds /rotties or similar}

but its a small dog I would like,

I had been talking to someone last week, who said.

that someone had been talking about getting a pup from another breeder, then so and so piped up about them being refused a rescue dog, but it was made to kinda sound like...Oh I wouldnt go to them for a pup, they got knocked back for a rescue, {what they failed to say was it wasnt because they were a bad home, but because they are breeders}

so it could in some ways do damage to your reputation if you know what I mean.

speaking personally as a homechecker, I would home a speyed or neutured dog to you, providing you passed your homecheck and a suitable dog was available. I go by gut a lot of the time so if I walked in/out your house with a good feeling then I usually run with that.

i definetly think you should consider a rescue - every rescue is different and its wrong to assume that blanket policies apply.

have you considered a smaller breed from maybe oldies rescue ? Would you take a dog over 7 ?

But do you think your more influenced because you have got to know me over a long space of time on here dani?

if you had never met me, would you feel diff coming out knowing Im a breeder with 4 rotties, which will be going up to 5 when I have another litter?

I don't think you'd have too much of a problem with breed specific rescues to be honest - most of them tend not to have set policies on who they can and can't rehome to - most are taken on their own merits with new potential homes and the dogs in quesiton being assessed to see if their suitable.

I don't think you've got a hope with the larger rehoming and rescue charities/centres

I dont see why they wouldnt so long as the rescue is spayed/neutered. and your dogs get to meet the dog before hand to see if they will get on.
