We miss Tara Banana, and the waiting is killing me :-(

I have done nothing but pace, eat and worry since leaving Tara at DW's today, the house is so quiet without her, although she was an annoying little mare at times, I miss her dreadfully

I even miss jumping up every 5 mins to rush to the door to let her out for a wee, I miss her doing 'chicken bob' with Maia and causing havoc in the living room, I miss her flooding the kitchen with water...

She has only been gone for a few hours and I hate it...this little/big pup has really stole my heart

I am still waiting for a call from DW's to let me know the outcome of ALL the tests she underwent today, its now 7pm, I have left a message for the Duty consultant to call me just to let me know she is doing OK .

So I am going to stay online and try to keep my mind off it all....

Thats right, you stay and talk to us.
I'm sure she will be fine but it's dreadful waiting isn't it?

I keep clock watching, then I keep reeling from the cost quoted of £2000 for just the investigations...I know we have insurance, but she has already had all the tests they are doing again...but at a quarter of the cost...I feel I am being ripped off as well...I HATE VETS...grrrr

I am hopeless at waiting as well, it makes it so much worse when it is family.
Hopefully you will get the results soon x

It's always a horrible wait when they are at the vets I really hope they find out what is wrong with your gorgeous girlie

A £2000 vet bill seems very high!!

I have just had the call and been told what we knew already only at a cost of £2K!

At the moment it looks like an infection of the kidney or rather the tissue within the kidney the bit that makes the urine, they are doing the contrast test tomorrow to make sure its not the Urethra out of place, but if its Kidney infection its 2 months of AB's!

There is a partial blockage of the intestine, but this looks to be a mineral blockage (cat litter?) and wood which has to be removed..

I am therefore going to to collect her tomorrow, pick up all the test results and Xrays and shop around my local vets to see who can operate to remove the blockage at a fraction of the cost.
