Suggestions please? Puppy

Starting to consider adding another to our brood ( canine not human )
Obviously I have my favourite breeds, I'm a bit of a gundog fanatic, but practicality must be a factor.
We have 2 kids, a 13 yr old cross breed called jadie and jack, a 14 month old patterdale.

So we want a small to medium size ish dog to add to our clan. Only have an average size house and equivalent garden so no more weimis for me

We're a very long way off actually doing this but thought I'd put it out there for suggestions. I like English Bull Terriers and I love Parson Russells too.

So guys, What do ya reckon?

Personally I wouldn't take the risk introducing another terrier when you have a patterdale, nor indeed anything with a similar terrier type temperament. How about a Toller? They aren't huge or maybe a kookiehondje (sp?).

I had thought about a cocker. One on the list that I think. Do you not think a EBT would fit in with a Pattie?

Kooikers are OK but not the easiest from what I gather. I think an EBT that had a disagreement with a Patt would cause HUGE problems.
Dawn.

Yeah you're probably right. I just love Bull terriers. Grew up with one. But the tenacity of both breeds probably wouldnt be a match made in heaven. Was interested to hear your view as i know you're a proper terrier person
Restrictions aside, what would you put with a pattie Dawn?
