Bulbs didnt grow

Very odd...........every year I always plant some new bulbs/seeds.
This year, only 3 bulbs have sprouted, and I have no idea why!

I had about 5 different types, in different pots. I have dug them up today, and they are still intact, just a bit wet (but the soil is wet).

Nothing is different to what I normally do, the pots are in the same place as always etc!

Any idea what can cause them all not to grow?!
I'm a bit dissapointed, because i'm at home all summer ill, I thought I would have nice flowers to look at

Try sprouting them on a tray with a watering mat then planting them up when they sprout.

It could be that you are planting the bulbs too deep in the soil.
Thats what i was told, when mine didn't grow or flower, so i replanted them the year after not as deep and they all flowered bar one.
