My friends dog is missing............

Just got home and my neighbour and friend Sue has told me her dog has gotten out the front door ( due to one of her idiot kids)
Hes an irish and not chipped or wearing a collar. Apparently its been a few hours now as well. The pound is closed and the police arent picking up the phone at the moment ( typical). Shes been everywhere he is walked to see if hes gone there but theres no sign. Shes distraught incase a) hes out all night or b) someones took him......
I dont know what to advise
all I know is Id be devastated if it was one of mine

Candie yes he is ISBT and no I havent posted on lost dogs- good thinking.
I have told her to dig out a photo and I can scan it through and make a poster. I have emailed the pound as she isnt on the net but they dont open til about nineish which is a long time to wait in this situation.
The police have annoyed me not even picking up the phone - for all they know I could be some little old lady in serious need of help
( dont anyone say anything to that)

Lel, what sort of Irish.

The chances are he will find his way back anyway, but there is always a problem that someone may pick him up and think he is a stray, hope he is found soon if not then phone everywhere they can think of in the morning including pet shops and vets. Go to the police station and make out a report, take a photo and then phone every day.
