Please forgive me Pheobe

Last friday I had my rabbit Pheobe spayed and due to the op she passed away last night. I can't forgive myself for taking her as I know if I didn't, she'd still be with me today. I know she's not a dog but she still ment as much too me, she was only 3

Awww I'm so sorry that you have lost little Pheobe, random. I'm not to happy about guinea pig and rabbit neutering myself, I'm not having our little rabbit done - he seems happy enough hopping round the shed all day even though he is an only rabbit. Hope you are feeling a bit better soon - and please don't feel guilty - it could happen to anyone that makes a decision for a pet to be operated on. I still feel guilty that it was me who decided to have our dog pts last year - he was very ill and it killed me to make the decision - I feel like a murderer

Thats how I feel Foxy I just can't stop crying and i've not told many people as i'm afraid they will think, "oh it's only a rabbit".

I would have never done it if she was the only one, I was wanting to put them together

Oh Random, I'm so sorry. We all (and I mean every one of us) can only do what we feel is "right" at the time. There is no guarantee that it'll turn out ok. Mostly, we manage fine, but occasionally something like this happens and you begin to doubt your own ability to make rational decisions.

You were only doing what was right for Phoebe to give her more quality in her life.
