Jake's trip to the beach!

Yesterday was Jake's 'gotcha' day, and also my birthday, so OH was taking me out for the day... What with it being such a gorgeous day, and Jake's special day too, I decided that the only thing to do was... Go to the beach!

I just can't believe the weather, all last week it rained and I was so sure it would be the same yesterday, but it was beautiful (OH got a bit burnt!). I always get the weather for my birthday

Jake was absolutely brilliant! It is the busiest we have ever had at the beach, and we usually find a wee quiet spot but there were none. OH always tells me to relax, and let him behave but I don't give him enough credit sometimes... I need to start relaxing! He stayed with us, didn't run up to anyone else, happily played with his frisbee and left everyone elses balls etc alone, ignored the kids running around, and the teenagers who were squealing while carrying on, didn't run up to other dogs and the ones who ran up to us, he greeted nicely and he fell in love with a BC

He was very tired last night, because we were out with Paddy for 2 hours before we left, and then it is obviously an excited and busy day at the beach.

We then lay down for a while, and Jake lay down next to us (I usually put his lead on so I know where he is but because he had been so good, I left him off and just kept an eye on him and he didn't move )

Oh, when we get a good summer, I love sunbathing here... I don't like it too hot, and yesterday was perfect... if not a bit too hot at times
