What about these bunnies for £2,500, I've heard somewhere that its not a misprint, but something to do with what one of the parents did, apparently they have been on tv, and have world records or something (well, thats maybe better to being blue, but still wow!!)

So, I'll buy the dog for £5000, and a rabbit for £2500, and then check straight into the local mental hospital shall I?

I've wondered.
Not that I have the facts and figures, but for Frenchies, lots of them seem to be able to self-whelp. Certainly, Lola's mum was a self-whelper and I've seen many adverts for pups stating mum was self-whelping bitch. Obviously, there are some that do need c-sections but I don't think it is the majority that need them.

Yogi commands fees of up to £750 a litter and has brought in almost £60,000 from 79 litters. In the five years since he moved to England he has fathered 525 puppies which is more than 10% of all Vizsla puppies registered in the same period. This heavy use of a stud dog (see popular sire effect) has raised concern by some about potential health issues caused by a narrowing gene pool.[19]
And to be honest , I think thats a very conservative number in the above.

Add to that the number of litters he has sired since winning Crufts.

His influence on the breed in the UK is now at breaking point.

Finding a litter today that does not have Yogi in there somewhere is becoming difficult to say the least..

P.S I think they have made a mistake in the highlighted, it should be litters not puppies!!

Because I know he sired more then a 1/3 of that figure in his first yr.

Yes I know , but my point was , Wikipedia has very much underestimated the number of litters he has sired.

I know in his first yr, he sired a very high proportion of litters, so to say in 5 yrs he has only sired 76 is way of mark.

If he only sired one litter every other week for a yr, that would make 26 litters a yr .

He came to the UK around 05 (I think) so adding up him siring one litter every other week for 5 yrs adds up to more than 76 litters...

And I know he has been used on bitches more than that!

If in 5 yrs , he has only sired 76 litters that would add up to him being used on 13/14 bitches a year (my math is is terrible) I THINK???

he was used more than that in his first yr.
