OH openly admitted that he'll bail out and stay at home Casper-sitting if it rains though he may have a valid excuse as Casper's learnt to wriggle out of his current harness and I've got a new, supposedly escape-proof one on order, if it doesn't arrive by Saturday then I won't risk him wriggling out and causing havock

Weather forecast looks pretty poor for Sat morning....so I think he may end up Casper sitting!

8.30 Westhumble station is where I'll be. God I hope Cain doesn't get to over excited with all his new friends

I remember how worried I was about taking Casper to his first group walk, I was ready to be embarrassed and having to slink home early in shame. He totally proved me wrong and was off the lead and unmuzzled within five minutes, even ignoring a dog that tried to start a fight with him If Cain does get a little overexcited we can always split into two smaller groups if it helps him.

I think he'll be fine after the initial excitement. I'll keep him on a short lead for the initial greetings to prevent splat attacks! His behaviour depends a lot on the other dogs. If they ate playful, he'll be hyper. If they are calm, he will settle. He can be calm in groups of dogs if the general atmosphere is calm. And the walking should tire him out. He'll probably trail behind with his head down as a) he doesn't like the muzzle (rarely wear it and I haven't done enough training with it) and b) not a fan if the rain, he'll prob be sulking

Pity we might not meet Casper this time but looking forward to meeting Kiki and hoping she and Cain might become good friends! Also hoping you may have some helpful advice on handling Cain once you've met him as you say he sounds similar to Casper.

Well I'm only going to bring Abra as Molly wont cope with a long walk and left alone she'll trash the house so Milo is gonna keep her company ,I have a big bone from the butchers for them to chew on so they'll be happy
