Oh in her place - I'd just give them up for good! Who needs the stress and hassle and the possibility that it will set your own dog 'back' in terms of socialising, training and whatever.

I only just saw this thread now, I really hope Louie is ok! And you are ok too Amiee!!!

How sad that the other owner did not see her dogs were getting out of hand to stop it from happening, and it is even worse that after the fact she let her dog back off lead

Really hope this does not put you off going on future walks as I know how much you enjoy them as does Louie, maybe just stick with Dogsey walks though

Poor Louie hope he's ok now? Don't feel guilty it sounds like it was an awkward situation to be in especially as you organised the walk and i'm sure i would have done the same. One of the reasons i have kept Ted on the lead at least at the start of the couple of walks we have done is because he can be a grump with other dogs and i can see how he is going to be with the other dogs before i let him off.

When I then had Quinn back on lead the dog started posturing again, this time the owner came over, said nothing and eventually caught her dog who was going in circles round me and Quinn to avoid her, put him back on lead then let him off again about 2 mins later, then he postured up to Q again when I let Q back off... That coupled with mum not feeling well(really bad chest infection) we decided to just head home...
Sorry to hear that the walk didn't go as well as it could, but it does make me glad I made the decision I did.

Having commented before and having a dog who I always play safe with and having had situations with owners who have no clue , I am not surprised this happened , it doesnt make it right but is a challenge as a dog owner on a day to day basis , my view these walks work when everyone is up front about any issues prior to the walk and if you need to walk away you can or if indeed you need to say keep away from my dog thats ok too, we have had some Dogsey walks where this has been the case and we have all had a good day , if you dont feel you can comfortably speak up with your fellow dog walkers then in my view you should not attend, hope Louie and you too Aimee are ok after this experience and put it behind you and enjoy future walks with the right people

That sounds awful. It almost sounds as if the owner was using the walk for a sort of rehab situation for her own dog (not done very well).

To post that the dog behaved brilliantly would rankle, I think, after anyone had been on a walk with him and suffered the consequences of his rude behahaviour
