I love the northern/spitz breeds - sled dogs, Akitas, Shibas etc. Apart from the very natural "primitive" appearance, there is something about the depths of intelligence in their eyes when they look at you. Old souls in canine bodies........

I love any dog with longl egs and a shaggy coat - love scruffy Lurchers and Irish Wolfhounds. Miles away from my silky furred little legged woofer!

it would be easier for me to say what type of dogs I don't like the look off. i.e. not that many.

not keen on anything that looks like a rat on a string or anything that looks like it should be used at end of a mop.

not keen on those hairless type dogs

not keen on Boxers

not keen on GSD don't like their rear ends

not keen on red setters

I am really not keen on Dalmations

H'mm maybe there are more dogs that I don't like than what I thought.

It has always been the pastoral breeds for me, sheps and collies especially

I don't have just one type weirdly, I have many!

Gundogs are my main type, I've always had them and always will. I'm so used to a gundogs nature and general drive owning them is so much easier for me.

That said I do love the northern breeds, Sibes in particular, but would only ever go for that breed if I had some land and somewhere to work them.

I also love giant breeds and would love an Anatolian Shepherd Dog one day.

I do tend to go for the less common/less desirable when it comes to colour - black and white Springers, black GWP/GSP etc and then there's Oscar! I guess I just like to have something a bit different.

All of my present dogs have beards and bushy eyebrows which I love - they are 2 Labradoodles and 2 Mini Schnauzers.

I used to love the look of Bearded Collies when they looked shaggy and natural - but I am not keen on the heavily coated and over-groomed look that you see nowadays.

You would like working beardies then They are still scruffy, shaggy and natural looking
