You should be able to phone your vet now as if they are like my vets they leave an answer machine message telling you when and at what time they will be open. This will save you having to wait to ring the other vet.

Its still got the same message as last night saying they are not open and a mobile number to call which is the same one as last night. I keep checking outside as my own vets I can see from the end of my street and no lights or sign of life yet.

Just got appt at own vet at 9.00. Its literally 2 mins across the road but OH is going to take him in the acr as his legs and lower bit of his back have no movement at all now. He did still manage a normal poo, but hasn't pee'd.

Ahyone thinking more rationally thanme - what should I be asking/asking for?

I haven't read the thread amd I know you're at the vet but have you considered Lymes disease as a cause?

Thanks Becky I did try and check him for ticks, after redaing thatcould cause temporary paralysis,I didn'tfind any but I expect the head could easily have been knocked off. He is with OH at the vets just now I am just waiting will post as soon as I know anything
