I think and without looking it up about 95.

Heavy breathing and ripples or shudders down her body mean contractions and straining as if wanting to go toilet mean a pup is on it's way but can still take time. On the camp bed for you tonight.

tam didn't shudder. She panted a lot and cried once and then a pup popped out. Very quick for her. From time of start of panting to first pup was 4 hours and total time for labour/birth of litter was 8 hours.

Her temp dropped for about 24 hours and then things really started to happen. She refused to leave my side and did look at me a few times as if to say 'please help me mum and don't go'. I was glad I didn't too as I would have missed the whole thing.

Definately sleep on the camp bed tonight and hopefully some news for tomorrow.

Poor Emma, after all this she will probably be exhausted and sleep through it all. I just love that sort of milky smell puppies have, all warm and sweet.and the little sniffy noises they make.
