she is on burns now, but she rarely eats, and it costs jus as much as feeding raw. Our local butcher is very expensive, so wanted to see what landywoods was like, but have no idea on the amounts? cos at least at the butchers i cud judge by what i saw in his hands!

when you say your butcher is expensive....what are you buying?

i am wondering if some butchers have cottoned on to the idea that they can sell their waste meat to dog people.

i get a sack of lamb ribs (does me two weeks for three dogs) and a sack of chicken carcasses all for free.

i buy offal for 50p per roll (two dinners for three dogs) and chicken wings (whatever that price is)

its dirt dirt cheap.

the expense for me is all the veg and fruit i buy, and then mince it all up and freeze for the month. (i get the AMP chicken and beef mince and mix that to make patties)

well, before i was buying chicken legs (5 for £2.50), beef trimmings (£1 for a pound), lamb ribs (£2.00 for approx 4 bits), heart (£1.00), liver 50p, marrow bones (£1 for 3) . whole rabbit (£3.00). anything else is far overpriced. As u can see he doesnt cut a good deal and charges for everything!

yeah i think its unfair that butchers can be charging what they want. i think you should tell them that they are too expensive, and that you will be taking your buisiness elsewhere. (then go back in a few weeks and see if they lowered their prices) if not, then try elsewhere. although i understand that not everyone is as lucky as me, and has about ten butchers to choose from! (i stick with the one though, as my friend knows him, and he gives me loads of stuff free, which he shoudl be charging for)

although chicken carcases and lamb ribs are not one of them! you should question your butcher, ''i heard that this is a waste product, should you be asking me for money for this?'' see what he says!!
