I'm not very good at watching stuff like this as it takes a lot for me to be able to suspend my disbelief or have my imagination wandering. I keep wondering things like when a zombie gets it in the head, because it's undead, what is the correct terminology for them actually dying permanently. Or how long would it take for one to rot down if it couldn't find something alive to eat. Or are there vegetarian zombies that only eat grains.
Ah now see there's the problem, Shane didn't get bit, so we aren't sure how he became a zombie, unless it's now transmutable by air...

however you die, you wake up a zombie, unless you get shot in the head. if you get bit by a zombie the bite contains a toxin which causes a fever from which you die, just like komodo dragons. blood infection or scratches from zombies doesn't do this.

once the undead are shot in head its just called permanently dead, like you say.

if the zombies ran out of food, eg human and animals, they would turn on each other and eventually succumb to starvation and die off.
I don't fancy my chances of outrunning a komodo dragon as much as I do a zombie. Have you seen the one in Chester Zoo?

You know exactly what I'm going to ask, don't you. The dumbass question of how everybody in the world got infected with zombievirus.

Dead zombies in the watersupply? Ingesting zombie splatter, bits of zombies under their nails, zombieguts in contact with an open wound (Shane, for example, had that scabby head when he had his hair ripped out, the imprisoned lad had his leg wound plus the cut hands from the handcuffs). Or there's been nothing to say it's not airborne or wasn't leaked into the water supply pre-zombie infestation, the majority of the population could be infected perhaps.

Hmm, would they though ? ( listen to me, anyone would think I took this seriously )
My theory is that there's something in living flesh they need/crave, rather than actually feeling hungry, perhaps the virus somehow drives them to it, perhaps it's the virus that needs the living flesh ?. So I don't think they would eat each other any more than they would eat a plank of wood.

i can buy that

once all the animals and humans are eaten then i guess they just starve to death

none of this is how they are infected

you are right about the whole population already being infected with the zombie virus

once bitten, its the bite properties itself which causes a fever which results in death

In the book Raising Stoney Mayhall the zombies just craved human flesh for the first 48 hrs due to fever, after that, they were just as sane and normal(ish) than the living, I thought that was a brilliant idea.
