Which all begs the question of why anyone who loves dogs would want to deliberately hurt them.

Adam can you please explain where the punishment comes in in positive training

Like today I was walking my pair in the woods, I called them back because I was talking a different path
They returned so quickly and happily that I decided to reward them with a ball in my pocket that they didnt know was there and were not expecting

So they were happily playing about, they happily complied with my request and happily got a ball to play with

Wheres the punishment?

Because in AP's parallel universe, they would have been stressed at the thought they might lose you in the woods

He's busy throwing skewed statistics & study reports around on another forum where links to his videos have just been put up.

You withheld the reinforcer (reward) until they came back. What would have given them if they had not come back? As so many don’t.

On this theory of yours, then positive punishment could only follow negative reinforcement which, of course, is just illogical gibberish.
I did not work it out & it is not my theory. B F Skinner, the originator of the theory worked it out, it’s his theory.
