I agree Eileen, not the most romantic creatures are they, TW maybe there is something in that single malarky lol I actually read a lot of horrid real life stories of childhood abuse, I don't know why as they make me very sad but I'm intreagued (sp) by it.

TW, I love Penny Vincenzi - I have a whole series of her books in the bookcase. Wilbur Smith has always been a favourite as well - he doesn't mince words when describing distasteful things!!

Sally I also remember hot summers and snow in the in the winter I have fond memories of dad digging the snow away from the drive so he cold drive to work and mum washing the winter blankets and bedspreads no quilts in those days to put away till the next Autumn.
Winter clothing being washed and packed away so the summer clothing could come out.
Aaaaahhhh those were the days we knew where we were with our weather then.
