I just want to say thankyou to everyone for your messages.
Yesterday was a perfect day for Teagan to go to sleep - it was the first Sunny, warm day for a while, with white fluffy clouds in the sky.
She refused a biscuit when we asked her in the morning, and we always said the day she refuses a biscuit we know there is something wrong. She gave us both 'the look', but we were scared to say something to each other.
We took her to the beach with her baby (teddy), and had a nice peaceful walk with no other dogs or people around.
The poos she did were covered in blood - so this was another sign.
We had a cry on the beach and went back to the car, and drove to Macdonalds, where we got her a box of 20 chicken nuggets.
I called the vet, and we made our way there.
They greeted us, and they all knew who she was, and gave her strokes.
The vet and the nurse came into the room, and put some warm vet bed down, and sedated her. We layed on the floor, and gave her half a tub of biscuits, and put her 'baby' with her to snuggle, and stroked her and talked to her whilst she went to sleep.
The vet and nurse came back, and both cried - they said they don't normally cry, but they know Teagan so well, and they said what a good girl she was.
The vet then gave her the injection, and I layed down with her and sobbed, and told her how much we loved her, told her to sleep well and we will see her again.
Mike and I spent a few mins alone together with her once she had gone, and gave her one last kiss and cuddle, and the vet nurse came to look after her. Her 'baby' will be cremated with her.
I know she is still here though, as we smelt her fart in the kitchen at lunch time when we were cooking food
Run Free Teagan.
Everone who met you loved you, you were so special. See you again
