Mine wear an equafleece when warming up and when cooling down and on the way home from swimming, to keep their muscles warm but as working dogs, they have to get used to the wet and as they are moving about they do not need a coat.

Also, because they have waterproof coats, putting a coat on a dog interfered with its natural insulation (unless your dog has no coat or a very thin one).

And, I am tight!

I have had two shorthaired Weimaraners which have less body mass to height than an SBT and I rarely have the heating on eg last year I did not put the heating on post February for the whole year.

And no they do not have pjs................ but then neither do I

My only regret is that I di not jump on the "clothes for dogs" bandwagon myself and make a mint!

My Springer doesn't need any clothes but my big tough German SHORTHAIRED Pointer, really hates getting wet through. His tail is clamped down, his back all hunched up and he glares at me.
