Hi Lynn ,What are they treating him for in the end,Just realised that he.s a burnese and they along with beagles are the 2 highest represented breeds for GME which is a form of meningitis and it took our vets a week of tests without finding the problem we then had to go to a specialist who new by looking at the way he was holding himself what the problem was.And ran the tests which confirmed it. Sorry if I've already said this I just know how much testing Willow went through without an outcome and we were also told to get ready to have him pts if they couldn't get to the bottom of the prob.

Hi there. He has been going through elimination tests as far as I know he has had the meningitis test I can check on Friday with his neurologist when we have too call her too update on his progress.

The last test we are waiting for results on is the myasenthia gravis it takes about 4 weeks for results.

Thanks for the heads up on that one I will be sure to ask on Friday. We have a very comprehensive report of all that they have done but some of it may as well be written in chinese.

Still thinking about you and Ollie, and hoping that he continues to make a recovery.

I have a good friend who has a Bernese (her fourth now I think), and I know what a worry they are as a breed - you name it, they will get it bigger and better than anyone else!! Good caring owners such as yourself will always see them through anything that it is possible to see them through; if you see what I mean.

Thank you. We knew what we were buying into having done our research and as you say they get it bigger and better or things that have never been heard of before.

But we felt we needed a Bernese in our life even though it would end in heartache and probably sooner rather then later.

He is holding his own at the moment though.

Thank you both.

Had a bit of a blip at 4 this morning he woke me up too go out and had diarrhea and vomiting for about 2 hours and the diarrhea had blood towards the end of the session.

We rang Nadia and it seems as we thought he had reacted badly to the Rymadil so he is now off it and on a bland diet and monitoring him closely. he has some scrambled egg for breakfast and I have bought chicken and fish too steam for his tea.

We are hoping he has now got it out of his system. His mobility seems better today so thats a bonus.
