Well thats some thing we have yet to establish, maybe she put vet as she training, i really don't know. But at the same time even if any one of us think some thing isn't quite right, there is ways of dealing with it.What if, and i don't know this, she is a genuine user and it is a simple error, does that give any one of us the right to have a go @ her?
What happened to the forum rules that has been set out to help prevent this type of thing happening on the board?
I can see your point but @ the same time, would you like to be pulled to pieces by other members?

Keep mine on leads when walking in fields ,especially with it being lambing time. To be honest Meggie poops herself when she sees sheep, cows or horses Mack, is different , would not trust him at all. They have both been socialised the same, took to farms , fields etc when small, but he gets a glint in his eye. Not sure if he would do harm, but he would certainly chase. So, if he got off lead and shot, I would be devastated, but I grew up on a farm so I do understand the farmer too.

Sorry, never knew about that.It can be a bit dangerous someone saying they are a vet and aren't.My major worry was people noticing her other thread about parvo, then seeing this one about her dog which has had contact with a suspected case. The last thing people need to see is that it's ok to walk a dog which has been in contact with an infected dog, xxxxxxx

I don't think being aggresive helps new members to feel they can come on here and ask questions, where we might be able to educate them or give them a guiding hand of the right ways or the wrong ways regarding the ownership of their dogs.

Any way this is off topic now.
I think you'll find I gave her my sympathy when she posted about how bad she felt about her dog that died recently so I didn't attack her from the start, however, she then went out and bought a dog like she was buying a tin of soup, no thought process whatsoever, got given a number by a friend and came back with a puppy, who is now (if all is to be believed) seriously ill.
If you cannot understand why that makes me so very angry (and bearing in mind her supposed profession as well) then I can't help that.
I have campaigned for years to try stop people from buying in such a manner so when someone does, and then openly brags about it on a public forum I'm not going to hold my tongue. That post made me absolutely furious and I was livid for days after that just in the sheer stupidity of people when it comes to buying a puppy.
People take considerably more car over their next car, it seems, than when buying a pup. That I will never understand, a car is just a heap of metal and components not a beautiful living thing with a soul.

I agree, you have to be careful as there could be 1 person who reads something & the facts be the opposite.
But isn't that what forums are about, so we can give the right advice to help prevent it. From our own experiences and knowledge.
People aren't going to ask questions if they feel they are going to be treated in a negative way.
Becky i think most owners can understand how passionate you are about the subject, but she stated she didn't know, which alot of people fall into the same trap.
Any way i have to go to bed, work in the morning.

We didn't even get a chance to educate she just went out and bought!
I can't believe anyone working in a vets for 3 years 'doesn't know' and that is the whole issue we have with her. You don't work in a vets for that long, even as a receptionist, and not know anything about bad dog breeding!

I totally agree. This poster had Dogsey and its members at her disposal, but didn't think twice when purchasing a badly bred puppy.

But I think this is the problem. As I said before she had Dogsey at her disposal, she is a 'Vet', she had read threads before regarding puppies and buying and ignored the advice, so is it any wonder that people become angered at then listening to the problems when that person becomes unstuck !!!

I can understand someone who had just left Uni and saying we were not educated on puppy buying, but this person worked in a surgery for 3 years ! and her Vets are fully aware of puppy farmers and bady bred puppies etc !

I'm just saying it as I see it with these threads unfolding !

Getting back to sheep, the same applies to cattle. When one of my dogs met catttle for the first time over Sutton Park (they were bulls) she started barking and the young bull charged her so she ran. Next thing I knew was a ranger
gave me a telling off, he was quite right too, and as he said good job it was a bull as it stood it's ground. Although I don't think the rangers at Sutton Park shoot.....not sure of that one will have to check.
